Bridging The Gap
In 2015, nearly every country in the world including India, agreed to come together for the first time under an UN binding agreement to act on the climate mess we were in. Based on science, they agreed on a common goal to reach a state of net-zero emissions by this mid-century.
In solidarity with the global movement, India has set itself an ambitious target of becoming a net-zero nation by 2070. As the third-largest contributor to climate-altering emissions each year, India will play an important role in shaping the climate-action legacy of our society, at large. India’s success or failure will have profound implications worldwide, far beyond India’s borders - both now and in the future.
To achieve this successfully, India in the next few decades will have to undergo systemic-level changes across how governments, businesses and citizens behave and act. The country will transition into new policies, social structure, financial models, technological innovations and people’s movement. However, this cannot happen at the necessary speed and scale without a talent pool well versed in the history, on-goings and principles of climate-action and their context. India will need a strong and diverse talent pool cutting across different walks of personal and professional life, that can confidently nudge and lead their respective spaces.
OnePointFive is an organised effort in this direction. To Create This Talent Pool.
Our Mission
Climate Change and Action is poised to act as a testament of the 21st century’s collective human-will.
We hold the conviction that the most potent climate leadership, important for the speed and scale of climate-action needed will spring from the hearts of those who possess a profound awareness and unwavering confidence on action.
They may be thinkers, creative souls, social entrepreneurs, engineers, and everyone in between - from our time right here in this century.
At OnePointFive, our mission is to forge a space from where this new generation of climate-action pioneers from all walks of life can emerge.
“To be the wind beneath their wings”
We will compliment their strive to grasp the full magnitude of the climate-mess we are in, to make sense of the underlying circumstances, and be deeply aware of the evolving landscape of solutions at play along with the ongoing discourse surrounding them.
And be their biggest advocates.

Our Focus: Level One
At OnePointFive, our primary focus is Climate Change.
We indulge in broader 'environmental and sustainability issues' only at their intersections with climate issue and solutions.

Focussed Climate Action Amid Global Challenges
Climate Change is an environmental issue concerned with the de-stabilization of our climate system on account of enhanced greenhouse gas effect.
But it is not the only problem we face today.
Climate change is playing out today amongst various other equally important environmental and sustainability issues such as air pollution, plastic pollution, resource depletion, water scarcity, waste management, soil degradation and biodiversity loss – each with their own characters.
Our mission is to help you master climate change and action as issue distinct and separate from other environmental and sustainability issues.
We believe there is tremendous value in this approach.
This approach will help you avoid the common confusions between climate problem/solutions with that of other environmental and sustainability issues.
This approach will also help you see through the information chaos better, make clear identification of climate related problems/solutions, see them in context of the broader issues, track them precisely, and plan better-targeted solutions.
Our Focus: Level Two
At OnePointFive, we are hyper focussed on Climate Mitigation.

Uniting Innovators For Climate Mitigation Solutions
[ Context: Climate Action plays out in two spheres - climate mitigation and climate adaptation. Climate Mitigation is the effort dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to prevent further worsening of climate change and its impacts, while Climate Adaptation is the effort dedicated to adjusting to climate change already underway to minimize harm and risks on our planet.]
Our mission is to bring pioneers from different walks of life into the climate mitigation fold – to innovate and action on climate solutions that can help prevent the worst impacts of climate change, and in-turn ease the scale needed in climate adaptation.
We believe, mitigation remains less understood.
We are dedicated to bridging this knowledge gap, fostering a community of solution-seekers committed to a low emission future.
If you are someone aspiring to impact in Climate Adaptation, we may be of little help to you. But we would love to introduce you to the great works done by so many of our peers who focus on it exclusively and whole-heartedly.
Our Framework
Deep Awareness

Our Vision
To ensure you have a reliable climate-related knowledge base, at your easy disposal. This knowledge base will be comprehensive, be rigorous fact-checked and continuous updated to reflect the latest state of climate action. This website is a building block in this direction.
Progress
We have built a research framework that allows us to deep dive into various climate mitigation themes while staying organised. We have put it to practice in this website which now covers the building blocks of the climate dialogue.
It includes the ‘agreed pathway of limiting climate change’, the ‘science of climate change and its causes’ and the ‘political arrangement on delivery’. We have also laid the foundation for investigating emissions by sector and the solutions at play. The energy sector is our first sectoral knowledge base.
Path Forward
We’re expanding our research to cover all other sectors responsible for emissions and diving into climate action’s intersections with history, policy, law, art, technology, and markets. By breaking down these topics and working with experts and our in-house research team, we aim to make this information clear and accessible for you.
Through our website and social media, we aim to reach and help more people like you take constructive climate action.
Staying Confident

Our Vision
To ensure you have up-to-date information and access to key voices on developments within the climate space.
This bi-weekly newsletter is a building block in this direction.
Progress
We have built a framework that allows us to cut through the overwhelming noise of the climate news cycle to instead meaningfully ‘track, aggregate, analyse and curate’ it for you.
Our editorial desk has put it into practice for 3+ years now, to deliver a bi-weekly no-nonsense newsletter. We are 800+ subscribers strong.
We have also prepared ground reports on climate action, which have been shortlisted and used in climate negotiations tables (read as COP).
Path Forward
We’re strengthening our editorial desk to ensure we can ‘track, aggregate, analyse and curate’ on 3-day cycles (instead of 2-week cycles).
We also need to deliver this information via 3rd party social media apps for better speed and scales of more individuals across the country discovering the climate space and their footing in it.
We aim to set up a ‘News Lab’ with experts in journalism, design, and social media outreach collaborating seamlessly to drive this effort.
Skilling For Action

Our Vision
To ensure you have access to tailor-made skills-sets necessary to engage in climate action.
These skillsets can vary between soft skills (advocacy, scientific thinking, community building) and those more technically (research analysis, carbon calculations, sectoral specific knowhow).
Progress
We have designed and delivered numerous climate specific workshops (both soft and those more technical) for national rating system agencies, business/corporate teams and university students in India. We have taken special care to tailor each workshop (varying between 1- 30 days) to the specific audience needs and compliment their own climate journeys.
A full list of our workshops is available.
Path Forward
We aim to deliver open-to-all ‘climate change and action’ workshop every month that are open to all, while producing more tailored made workshops/dialogues for niche talent pools in pursuit of upskilling to climate action.
We also plan to pursue a ‘Teach the Teachers’ program for Schools.
