The 1.5° Briefing Room

The 1.5° Briefing Room was born out of the need to cut-the-clutter on the large proliferation of climate-related information available online.

While this is a welcome change compared to only a few years ago; but left to its own device - it is a problem. We understand, this information over-load confuses well- intended climate doers in citizenry, organizations & governments on the necessary steps for climate action.

The 1.5° Briefing Room aims to solve this. It organizes and re-structures climate-action information to maintain a consistent climate-action snapshot in the simplest language that will allow you to acquire deep understanding of the climate-crisis and its root causes quickly, so that you can leap forward into meaningful solutions. This approach will give you more time on solutions, rather than the problem.

Who Is It For?

The 1.5° Briefing Room is ideal for anyone who has recently discovered climate action (0 - 3 years since discovery irrespective of age or core skill-set), is curious to dive deeper into this world, find their own niche and participate in it.

How To Use It

The 1.5° Briefing Room organizes and re-structures climate-action information into Smart Notes, Listicles, Opinions, News Journal & Learning Packs.

The Smart Notes are central to the briefing room. They form the basic knowledge blocks, cutting across climate themes.

Each Smart Note is supported by expert pieces (from curated guest experts) in the form of Listicles & Opinions to give you an insight into the latest thinking in the space

The 1.5° Briefing Room allows you to pin various information from Smart Notes, Listicles, Opinions onto your dashboard, based on your interests. Care is taken to ensure you receive notifications every time the knowledge-point is updated.

India holds a peculiar position. It is not only the 3rd largest contributor of climate- changing gases annually after China and USA, but also home to the largest population of poor people who are at risk of direct exposure to climate events with limited/no means to recover from them.
