Hardeep Singh Puri, Bio:
Hardeep Singh Puri entered politics in 2013 by joining the BJP following an extensive 39-year career in civil service. He was appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs in 2017 and later took on roles as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industry in 2019. In 2020, he was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. In 2021, Puri was reappointed as the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, as well as for Housing and Urban Affairs.
