UNEA Concludes With Resolutions To Curb Pollution & Restore Nature

The 5th UN Environment Assembly concluded with resolutions to strengthen actions for nature & calls on member states to reduce health risks associated with trade in live wildlife captured for the purposes of food, captive breeding, medicines & pet trade. Also, the UNEA adopted a resolution to accelerate actions to significantly reduce nitrogen waste & plastic usage from all sources.

IPCC Issues Report On Impacts Of Climate Breakdown

The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report says human-induced climate change is causing dangerous and widespread disruption in nature and affecting the lives of billions of people around the world, despite efforts to reduce the risks. Scientists point out that safeguarding & strengthening nature is the key to securing a livable future.

EU Brings Out Plan To Cut Russia Gas Dependency This Year

The European Commission published plans to cut EU dependency on Russian gas by 2/3rd this year and end its reliance on Russian supplies of the fuel by the end of this decade. The EU executive said it would switch to alternative supplies and expand clean energy faster under the plans.
