UK Offers Nigerian Farmers $109 Million in Climate Funding

In order to scale up sustainable farming practices "such as heat and flood tolerant crop varieties and integrated soil fertility management," the UK government is investing $109 million in the programme that is aimed at 4 million farmers, including 2 million women. The UK funding is part of an 8-year international climate finance program supporting resilient and sustainable.

Kuwait Commits To Reach Carbon Neutrality In Oil & Gas By 2050

Kuwait is committed to becoming carbon neutral in the oil and gas sector by 2050 and by 2060 in other industries, aligning itself with similar targets set by its Gulf neighbors. Kuwaiti foreign minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also added, the country executed many projects to preserve the environment & reduce emissions.

India's New NDCs Are Insufficient For Reducing Emissions: Report

A report presented at the COP27 to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change claims India's updated Nationally Determined Commitments (NDC) to be strong on paper but as not potentially resulting in greater emission reductions than it's own prior commitment. The report also points to the Indian government intends to enhance the use of fossil fuels and expand its coal capacity.
