UN scientists have unveiled a plan to limit global warming at 1.5°C or 2°C. It suggests that global CO2 emissions would need to peak within the next 3 years (by 2025) and fall rapidly after that, reaching net-zero by 2050. After which, the CO2 would have to be sucked back out from the skies, through nature-driven strategies & carbon capture storage technology.
